this
year i had the pleasure of working with the young people
of inverurie in a recent project put together by pete
stollery, adam proctor, biff barrow, and penny downes
and myself. using cutting edge video and audio technology,
we held workshops covering technology, listening and
looking skills, and audio/visual composition and improvisation
all culminating in a multi-media performance by the
young people at their local town hall. the goal was
to allow the young people of inverurie to have a creative
outlet to interpret and present their local community
as they experience it. they delivered! after months
of work, they premiered their new work, see hear
inverurie, diffused live over 20 loudspeakers with
improvised video ala vj equipment.
