before
moving to scotland i had the honor of working as a choral
director at kealing jr high in austin texas. it was
the most difficult position i have ever held, and the
most rewarding. i am still in contact with my students
from kealing and they have reminded me that although
they like my website, i seem to have 'forgotten my other
life'. so, in order to assure them that i will never
forget them, i've decided to post these pictures
from our celebration for earning sweepstakes at competition
our last year together. we started with a defunct program,
and in only 2 years were able to earn the highest marks
awarded for choir excellence. although most of the credit
goes to them, we couldn't have achieved this without
the help of my mentor yvette carroll, the support of
several other excellent choir directors in the district
and the supportive music staff at kealing jr high.
