austin museum of digital art (amoda):::a great organization focusing on all forms of digital art. i was the co-director of their performance series, with brent fariss who's taken on the job solo. a great site.

austin new music coop:::another great organization and ensemble dedicated to presenting new works both by local, new composers as well as pieces by more established artists.

austinitus:::josh ronsen's base site with info on austin...look at these links though for the meat of the site: john cage online, the pierre boulez project, a guide to dumitrescu and avram, and another links page to composers.

bremsstrahlung-recordings:::josh russell's excellent net label and website. great mp3's and cd/cdr releases.

stable/unstable:::travis weller's excellent personal site. travis is one of the key figures in the austin new music scene, equally excelling as a composer, performer, and organizer. lots of info about the austin scene via travis's extended involvement.

spectral house:::the cdr label that brent fariss and i started in 2001. brent has taken the initiative and built a lovely site, set up online ordering and is planning several exciting new releases. it also houses information about the loft series concerts, and spin off labels porkbones and ecolirecords.j

aberdeen-music.com:::while not an experimental music site per se, this online community really does represent the pulse of aberdeen's music scene. i posted here when i first arrived and received lots of hints about where to look plus many warm welcomes.

dr. drakes:::this is a great venue in town that features a wide variety of musics...so far, all good. drakes is the only venue that i have found so far to host nights that feature experimental music, new media etc. such nights include 'interesting music' , 'synergy', and 'limousine bull'. [sadly dr. drakes has shut its doorrs (january '05), and aberdeen is the poorer for it. i'm leaving the link on the site though to show my appreciation for jim and sharon's warm welcome when i first arrived in aberdeen.]

ideas factory's aberdeen page:::numerous articles and interviews about new media/art in aberdeen, scotland.

limousine bull::: a great artist association who host, sponsor, and promote new media events.

peacock visual arts:::peacock visual arts is scotland's premiere visual arts organization. truly on the frontline of new media. extremely supportive of the local artist community.

urban november:::a community of artists dedicated to celebrate urban culture and the values of tolerance, diversity and inclusion through artistic means.

ideas factory:::an online forum for music and media. exploring/posting on could yield some results.

drift:::a project through new media scotland that may be ending soon (2004). i'm not clear on its future but it's a nice site with mp3s and the like.

new media scotland:::an organization that supports artists working in new media and technology. lots of links to organizations and artist communities throughout scotland. definitely worth exploring.

scottish arts council:::the link to their site. the arts are supported quite well here in the uk. links to events, as well as forms if you would like to submit for support.

scottish music center:::a site devoted to music of all genres within scotland. lots of good stuff if you dig.

aspen magazine:::a beautiful magazine site with lots of modern music mpegs.

audiosound:::discussion and help for audio recording, producing, mastering, post-production and sound FX. this is for people that have a pretty good idea what they are talking about. for people in or near the entertainment biz.

autumn records leaves label:::a very nice cdr label leaves as part of the autumn records label, dedicated to releasing field recordings. released my mcalpine construction site, footdee field recording in august 2005.

avant-garde:::this is a list for the discussion of all "avant-garde" jazz. to talk about such musicians as john coltrane, cecil taylor, albert ayler, john zorn, don cherry, ornette coleman, ect...

quietamerican.org:::it's appropriate that aaron ximm's site follows the phonongraphy link, as his approach is so steeped in field recordings. aaron's site is very generous, lots of advice, great pix, mp3s, and links.

resonancefm:::a great radio and web station that features field recordings, new music, and much, much more. london's first and best art radio station.
